You are viewing an auction for a gorgeous Victorian style mahogany dining table and a set of 8 matching Adams style chairs. The table stands in at an impressive 12 feet when fully extended. This is a sumptuous dining set fit for a king and I hope the photos do this amazing piece some justice.

The table is Victorian style and extends via the handle at one end of the table which winds the table up so you can take the leaves out or add them to suit your needs. It also means the table can be made a lot smaller for every day use and big for lavish dinner parties. The table sits 8 people very comfortably - please see the photos to show how it looks with the chairs around it and also the extending mechanism. 

The table has chunky hand turned legs and they are on castors so you can move it around easy. This would have been made by craftsmen on the Norfolk coast in England, a region famous for this type of furniture. 

The chairs are solid and wobble free, ready for home use right away. The back splats have been hand carved with typcial Hepplewhite designs including oval shapes and half rosettes, plus on the arm chairs are the acanthus leaf designs to the arms.

We appreciate it\'s quite an initial outlay but this will last for centuries hence making it a great investment and family heirloom. The table is a Victorian extending diner that works by a winding mechanism at one end (please see close up photo). The table has four leaves each measuring 18 inches so there are numerous different combinations with this table. A leaf is an extra section of the table you can drop in. There are two D ends at either end of the table each measuring 4 feet. You could have just the two D ends together and the table would be round. Fully extended it is 14 feet long - and this would sit 12 people more than comfortably, perfect for large scale dinner parties and functions.

You are viewing an absolutely wonderful dining set that consists of 10 Queen Ann style dining chairs in mahogany around a 14 foot Victorian style extending dining table. This set really is fit for a king - and Queen! I hope you will agree, this set looks pukka.

The table is an exender that works via a handle that slots in at the end and you turn and it extends - and you slot the leaves in according to your purpose. It\'s great for large dinner parties and can then be made smaller for daily use. Check out the lovely chunky legs in the true Victorian style - there is even a leg under the middle of the table. The crafting on this piece is superb - solid and sturdy, built to last and this will serve you for generations of use. 

It\'s a gorgeous set of 10 English Queen Ann style dining chairs in mahogany. The set consists of two arms and eight side chairs. The main feature of course is the deliciously carved backsplat which curls at the top. When you consider the amount of work that goes into these it\'s breathtaking.
